Those banks are losing credibility. Once upon a time banks were seen as a pillar of strength; they gave us money when they thought it was right, advised us about business and basically kept us on the straight and narrow. The banks had the money and they kept it safe in their nice big imposing buildings, so that we knew everything was all ok.
All that has gone topsy- turvy. The feeling now is that we don't trust them. They also have a a lot to do with the current economic downturn we are in.
This change in the perception of this sector is reflected in the type of promotional items being ordered by banks. In the past budgets were not a problem - whatever was ordered had to be prestigious. Now it is best if the bank is seen not to waste money on such things. If something needs to be ordered, it should be useful.
Quite right we think...
